High Ball Control

Posts Thumbnail High Ball Control

Day 2 | 30 Day Challenge

The lockdown is a brilliant time to up your game and improve your skills! Don’t let the time go by without refining your technique, control, touch, perception and balance.

Learn how to judge the distance, ‘catch’ and control the ball that comes down to you from a height.

As a coach, I always tell my players that their control is enormously important in the game.

Make sure you don’t focus on your dominant foot only! Always practise on your right foot and your left foot.

STEP 1: Start by throwing the ball just above your head. Catch and control the ball so that your touch is precise and keeps the ball close to you.

STEP 2: Make sure you practise this step long enough before you move onto throwing the ball higher each time.
